We are looking for a talented and responsible Research Associate to support the scientific research and the engineering practice in perception and embodied intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Associate will work on a project to conduct research on online reinforcement learning for robot manipulation used in household service and manufacturing. The roles of this position include:
Develop robotic foundation models for general manipulation based on vision-language-action models
Develop reinforcement learning framework for Vision-language-action models
Develop real-robot reinforcement learning framework with safety constraints
Develop a mobile bimanual manipulation system to complete diverse tasks in household environment and in manufacturing deployment scenarios
Job Requirements:
Master in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field
1-year research experience in related area
Expertise in robotic manipulation systems
Knowledge in robotic foundation models
Publication track record is an advantage
Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as ROS and Python
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal – able to communicate complex concepts clearly and accurately
