About this Job
PSA is at the forefront of maritime logistics, leveraging cutting-edge automation to redefine port operations. Beyond traditional automation, autonomous vehicular technology and robotics are key areas in container transportation across our current and next-generation terminals.
Major responsibilities:
- System commissioning & integration : Lead the end-to-end commissioning of automation solutions, ensuring that partner-developed systems are integrated successfully into port-specific workflows. Evaluate a partner's model performance, data requirements.
- Technical integration & workflow mapping: Map out how new technologies interface with existing port infrastructure. You will ensure that the technical "handshakes" between various systems are robust and efficient.
- Stakeholder & logistics management: Serve as the technical lead on the ground to coordinate testing logistics. This includes managing site access, scheduling test windows with operational shift teams, and ensuring equipment logistics are handled across different port departments.
- Technology transfer & support: Act as the technical subject matter expert for the assigned platform. You will work closely with technology partners to acquire technical knowledge, ensuring PSA can maintain, troubleshoot, and iterate on the technology over a longer term.
- Problem solving: Perform root-cause analysis on system failures. You will be expected to adjust your technical focus between different automation domains as project needs evolve.
Requirements:
Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical or related fields
A versatile technical foundation with interest in autonomous technology, mobile robotics and robotic manipulation
Strong organisational and people skills to manage the administrative and logistical complexities of field testing in a live terminal
Proficiency in data visualization tools like PowerBI
Preference will be given to those who have:
basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
experience in sensor calibration processes
knowledge of the application of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models or large-scale Foundation Models for robotics
experience with robotic simulation environments like NVIDIA Isaac Sim
knowledge of industry Standards e.g. ISO 21448 (SOTIF) or ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and for robotics, ISO 10218 (Industrial Robots) or ISO 13482 (Service/Mobile Robots)
Class 3 driving license
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
