About this Job
PSA is at the forefront of maritime logistics, leveraging cutting-edge automation to redefine port operations. Beyond traditional automation, autonomous vehicular technology is a key area in container transportation across our current and next-generation terminals.
Major responsibilities:
- System commissioning & integration: Lead the field-side commissioning of Autonomous Vehicle (AV) platforms. You will ensure that vendor-delivered hardware and software are correctly integrated into PSA’s specific terminal workflows and infrastructure.
- Workflow validation : Design and execute testing regimes to validate vehicular navigation and safety in real-world port conditions. You will use data and ground observations to provide the technical feedback loop necessary to refine PSA’s partner solutions and influence their technology roadmap.
- Test logistics & stakeholder coordination: Manage the logistics of testing. This includes coordinating vehicle movements, charging/refueling windows, and maintenance with line departments and operational shift teams.
- Technical maintenance, diagnostics & troubleshooting: You will be responsible for understanding the system architecture to support long-term preventative maintenance, localized diagnostics and troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. Coordinate with equipment engineering to establish maintenance schemes. You will ensure that the AV hardware is robust enough for the 24/7 port environment and participate in "train-the-trainer" sessions for operational teams.
- Documentation: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and technical reports to establish a safe and scalable framework for AV operations.
Requirements:
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields
Understanding of key AV technologies including localization, perception, drive-by-wire
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage the administrative rigors of technical project logistics
Effective internal and external stakeholder management
Proficient in data visualization tools like PowerBI
Preference will be given to those who have:
basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
experience in sensor calibration processes
knowledge of industry Standards e.g. ISO 21448 (SOTIF) or ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and for robotics, ISO 10218 (Industrial Robots) or ISO 13482 (Service/Mobile Robots)
Class 3 driving license
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
