Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Design & System Development
Design portions of engineering solutions for mechatronic systems, mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling, in accordance with established engineering principles and development guidelines.
Support system‑level and control‑related design considerations, includingservomotion, actuation, power, and integrated mechanical behaviours.
Conduct feasibility studies, design margin assessments, and analytical evaluations on new and modified designs.
Perform root cause analysis of design or system issues and propose, evaluate, and implement corrective solutions.
Simulation, Analysis & AI‑Enabled Engineering
Develop and apply simulation models, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, vibration, and durability assessments.
Support design decision‑making through simulation‑driven insights and correlation with empirical data.
Explore and apply AI‑driven techniques to accelerate simulation workflows, improve prediction accuracy, and enable design optimization (e.g., predictive modelling, automated meshing, generative approaches).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Execution
Work in a collaborative R&D environment to design, analyze, simulate, and refine components, devices, structures, and assemblies.
Participate as a member of cross‑functional project teams, including internal engineers and outsourced development partners, to deliver reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.
Build and manage relationships with suppliers and outsourced partners, setting expectations for deliverables, quality, schedules, and cost.
Engineering Change & Value Engineering
Manage engineering change processes, including design change notifications, engineering change approvals, and associated schedules.
Drive value engineering initiatives, including proposal development, technical evaluation, and communication.
