Job Description

The Product Compliance Manager creates programmes and leads global projects to address product standards, certifications, and regulations including those required for electrical safety, EMC performance, Environmental compliance, functional safety and wireless technologies

You will be also responsible for working with Rockwell Automation businesses to develop strategies for all products which ensure that Rockwell Automation products meet relevant product regulations and certification requirements.

You will report to a senior QA manager based in Singapore.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering Product Certifications for complex industrial automation products sold globally and in driving new standards requirements implementation
  • Experience with national and international EMC standards development
  • Proven experience in regulatory or compliance certification including product, environment, Wireless and also Sustainability
  • Proven experience leading teams and developing employees
  • Experience and results in driving change across multiple departments / Through all levels in the organization.
  • Process Strong analytical, relational mapping and problem solving skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to frame and manage effectively a large quantity of ambiguous or complex work.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products is a plus.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in in Electrical, or Computer Engineering or related technical field with knowledge in the application of basic engineering and manufacturing principles, theories, and techniques.
  • 10+ years' experience in Manufacturing/Development/Compliance Engineering Organisation in an automotive/ electronics manufacturing organisation.
  • You will Develop compliance programs to ensure that Rockwell Automation products meet global requirements for safety certifications and cybersecurity regulations. Ensure that compliance activities are managed by global team members in a repeatable and auditable way.
  • You will Coordinates enterprise-wide projects that cross multiple business units. These projects ensure compliance of RA products to new or changing requirements in several areas, including Environmental Regulation, Country Specific Compliance Requirements, ATEX Requirements, Functional Safety, Marine, and Wireless.
  • You will Lead your team on all new and regulatory change compliance activities for projects of high importance to our organization. Specific programmes include Environmental Regulation, Country Specific Compliance Requirements, ATEX Requirements, Functional Safety, Marine, and Wireless.
  • You will operationalize complex portfolio of standards and regulatory requirements.
  • You will Support external customers by addressing requirements for product compliance information.
  • You will Identify Organization Risk and guide Mitigation action across the Organisation
  • You will Provide management for team members, including onboarding and people development. Identify and develop employees, technical talent and future leaders for ISC and RA.
  • You will Lead strategy development, business process development, and critical issue closure across technical disciplines for local teams
  • Leads enterprise-wide projects to ensure compliance of RA products to new or changing requirements. May be involved in compliance activities for projects of high importance to the organization.
  • Provides over the horizon strategy for product level safety standards and regulations.
  • Act resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality parameters.
  • Accept responsibility for one's own performance and actions delivering commitments.

Interpersonal

  • Manages relationships with leadership to support projects and understand upcoming needs, issues, gaps, etc. Provides updates to critical issues, upcoming requirements, etc. to stakeholder
  • You will Influence business groups to incorporate regulatory and certification requirements into product designs for both legacy and new products.
  • Builds strong relationships and partnerships across the company to leverage ideas, capabilities, and processes. Unifying internal constituents around a common vision and goals, and teaming with others for enhanced outcomes.
  • Know when to act and when to escalate decision-making process
