Job Description

You will perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts, and rebuild manufacturing equipment. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers. You will report to the Team Lead, Automation Engineer and work onsite in Milwaukee, WI.

This is a 1st, mid-shift role (M-F, 8:00AM – 4:30PM), at the 100-C Manufacturing Line in Milwaukee. A portion of this role's work would be during non-production hours focused on maintenance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Use documented work instructions and maintenance management software to perform and document semi‑routine maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiency with a variety of tools and the ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a logical approach to troubleshooting, analysis, and problem‑solving.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic production equipment.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Capability to move machinery and fixtures throughout the facility to support production needs.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving machine and process issues related to downtime, scrap, and performance.
  • Read and interpret diagrams and prints to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Competence in maintaining equipment and tools, monitoring spare‑parts inventory, and recording maintenance data in computer‑based systems.
  • Demonstrated safety awareness and attention to detail in all maintenance activities.
  • Respond to internal customer requests in a timely manner and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma/GED AND 2 years of verified related experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Electro-Mechanical Degree or equivalent
  • Robotics and/or Advanced Automation Manufacturing Certification
  • FANUC Certification
  • AB (or similar) Logix, Drives, or Motion Certification
  • Demonstrated expertise with manufacturing software and systems.
  • Experience supporting training programs or mentoring others in maintenance practices.
  • Apply equipment programming using computer‑based technologies.
  • Advanced understanding of specific equipment assignments, including recognizing and anticipating failure indicators.
  • Experience evaluating equipment efficiency, long‑term viability, and contributing to permanent corrective actions (root‑cause repairs).
  • Proven ability to expand capabilities beyond assigned equipment and support broader maintenance operations
