About this Job
Who we are
Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.
As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.
What you will be doing
Neros UA is looking for a Service Engineer / UAV Technician to support our Ukraine operations through hands-on UAV assembly, modification, testing, and repair. This role will work closely with local engineering and mission success teams to adapt products based on end-user feedback and maintain a reliable technical service capability in Ukraine.
- UAV Assembly & Modification: Build, repair, and modify FPV drones, UAV systems, test articles, and R&D prototypes based on engineering instructions and end-user requirements
- Soldering & Electrical Work: Perform soldering, wiring, connector maintenance, cable work, continuity checks, and basic electrical diagnostics
- Prototype & Engineering Support: Assist engineers with prototype integration, component installation, test preparation, and troubleshooting during development cycles
- Testing & Field Support: Support flight tests by preparing equipment, managing batteries and tools, setting up test areas, and acting as technical ground support
- Workshop & Inventory Ownership: Maintain an organized technical workspace, manage tools and consumables, and support control of R&D inventory and field equipment
- Documentation & Process Discipline: Follow technical instructions, record modifications and issues, and help create a repeatable service and modification process with consistent quality
You should have the following
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with electronics, UAVs, FPV drones, robotics, RC systems, hardware repair, or similar technical work
- Practical soldering experience, including wiring, connectors, small components, and basic repair work
- Basic diagnostic skills, including continuity checks, connector inspection, overheating or vibration detection, and structured troubleshooting
- Ability to assemble and maintain electromechanical systems using hand tools, bench tools, and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality, repeatability, and safe handling of equipment
- Ability to follow engineering guidance, maintain basic documentation, and communicate technical issues clearly
- Organized, responsible, and comfortable working in a workshop, lab, and field testing environment
- Self-directed working style with a strong desire to learn and grow into deeper UAV systems and engineering work
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with FPV drone assembly, wiring, soldering, tuning, maintenance, or repair
- Familiarity with UAV components such as flight controllers, ESCs, VTX, RX, motors, antennas, batteries, and power systems
- Understanding of FPV control systems such as ELRS, CRSF, SBUS, or similar protocols
- Familiarity with Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, or other UAV configuration tools
- Experience with 3D printing, precision mechanics, battery handling, LiPo/Li-ion safety, or field test support
- English level B1+ or higher, with the ability to read technical instructions and communicate with international engineering teammates
