About this Job

The role

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the assigned product portfolio (Pressure – and Differential Pressure transmitters, Seals, Manifolds, Flow elements, Temperature transmitters & sensors, Field Indicators, Field digital communication Fieldbus Foundation, Profibus, Wireless, the Field Network Configuration & Maintenance tools and software packages), develop and execute marketing and promotion activities, in line with the BU Annual Business Plan, sales needs and in close cooperation with the MarCom team and SSC, in order to increase sales.

The responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting out, drawing-up and co-executing the business strategy of the assigned portfolio in close collaboration with the Business Unit Management
  • Based on the account plan pro-actively visit (potential) customers in Central Eastern Europe region and contribute to increase market share and achieve early involvement in the sales process
  • Offer our customers and OpCos premium technical and sales support by use of product/solution application & hands-on training and value selling presentations
  • Assist the OpCos and SSC by providing technical knowledge and helping to develop sales strategies for product positioning, improved proposal quality from SSC
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to OpCos and customers experiencing product issues
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing product expertise and content for promotional materials
  • Act as intermediate between our customers and product development in Japan
  • Act as an expert in product and application knowledge
  • Define, create, maintain, and distribute sales tools, e.g. demo devices and promotion material
  • Collect and compose application notes
  • Manage product and solution releases
  • Collect sales & marketing information and conduct market-and competitors research regarding field transmitters

Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Physics or Mechanics

  • Knowledge of sales or after sales service experience in Industrial Automation/Process control

  • Preferably marketing education / understanding of business-to-business marketing

  • Proven experience in supporting customers/OpCos in answering technical, application and commercial questions on the products and/or solutions

  • Skilled in demonstrating and presenting technical products/solutions and giving technical/commercial trainings in English and preferably in one other major European language

  • Able to set priorities and customer focused

  • Independent, pro-active attitude and a ''just do it'' mentality

  • Willing to travel internationally, also outside office hours
