We are searching for the best talent for an Engineer, Systems Integration and Analytics – MedTech Robotics within our Robotics & Digital Solutions (RAD) organization. This position may be based in Santa Clara, CA.

Purpose:

Our team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists are in the forefront of technology in the robotic surgery industry. As a key memberofour group, you will be making vital contributions to the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline and improving patient care through innovation. You will work with NPD teams and Suppliers to develop robust molded part designs, tooling and manufacturing processes that meet or exceed all product requirements at the lowest possible manufacturing cost. This roleprovidesan opportunity to bring exciting new products tomarketwhile alsoproviding the opportunity for leadership and significant professional growth**.**

You will be responsible for:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to tie all aspects of the system together and meet program goals.
  • Lead the integration of subsystems
  • Lead the design, development and testing of tools, fixtures, dashboards and simulators
  • Perform system analytics using SQL, generate metrics, and interrogate data using statistical methods and visual dashboarding
  • Perform testing, analyze results, and make data-based recommendations to the team.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical/marketing, program management, and the engineering design teams.
  • Work cross-disciplinarily to provide hands-on system troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Apply sound engineering methods and documentation processes to perform design reviews and failure mode analyses

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience developing sophisticated robotics applications or complex electro-mechanical systems is required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, mechatronics, systems and sensors, and/or electronics and software is required.
  • Intermediate statistical analysis experience is required.
  • Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations is preferred (i.e. FDA CFR Part 820 and/or ISO13485).
  • Experience with Databricks or other data Lakehouse systems is preferred
  • Experience with Linux and working within a Linux environment is preferred.
  • Regulated industry (e.g. aerospace) is preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a multifunctional team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong desire to work with SQL and develop data analysis skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$106,000.00 - $170,200.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
