Electronics Tester Maintenance (3rd Shift; 11pm-7:30am)
JOB SUMMARY (Specific)
Production Maintenance: Troubleshooting / repairing complex production operating systems. Technicians work on both electrical and mechanical systems (Testers, Robotics, Pneumatics, etc.). Extensive Electronics and PLC troubleshooting /programming as well as mechanical overhaul and adjustment of machinery. Daily and preventative maintenance on automated equipment. Knowledge of control wiring, strong computer skills and project management skills preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles of operation.
- Reads and interprets diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work.
- Uses full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine and hand tools to perform maintenance work.
- Sets-up and tests production equipment under power according to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
- Advises operators of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with production equipment.
- Communicates maintenance problems, results, corrective actions, and recommendations to the chain-of-command, and to the customer as needed.
- Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company standards or policies.
- Works with other trades as part of a maintenance team – engineering, machinist, die maintenance, administrative personnel, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by chain-of-command.

Education
High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required
Additional 2 yr Technical Degree or equivalent
Work Experience
2 – 6+ years ofexperience/education/training in industrial maintenance or technically relative field.
1+ years demonstrated abilities troubleshooting, modifying, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on automated industrial equipment.
Demonstrated cross-functional experience/skills: PLC, HMI, Ladder Logic, Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems.
Must have knowledge of basic electronics theory and some practical experience
Should have a demonstrated ability to plan/prioritize work. PC skills- MS excel/word, hardware, windows operations.
Preferred Requirements
Sufficient reading and writing abilityà to follow maintenance, safety, and quality instructions and compile and record maintenance data
Must have knowledge of electronics theory with practical experience.
Must be able to read electronic schematics and follow signals from product, through jig, fixture, harness, machine, circuit board, down to component level.
Must have ability to troubleshoot and repair PCB’s using advanced electronic measuring devices. EX: Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum Analyzer,
Must have good soldering skills. i.e. wiring, thru-hole, and surface mount components
Must understand standard communication buses and software interfaces. Specifically GPIB / IEEE/ CAN
Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures.
Must not be color blind.
