The Valve Automation Technician is responsible for the assembling and testing, as well as, the repair of Actuator Assemblies, and is responsible to train other Actuator Technicians.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain actuator/valve actuator assembly work cell.
  • Inspect actuators and actuator assemblies.
  • Assemble actuators.
  • Assemble valve/actuators.
  • Provide field service and support for products.
  • Communicate with customers as required.
  • Performrepairsandmaintenanceserviceworkinaccordancewithapproved.
  • Apply knowledge of all phases of warranty/repair work and preventative maintenance within the manufacturing guidelines.
  • Provide valuable input with regard to process improvements.
  • Provide reports as required.
  • Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent .
  • Related certification(s) a plus.
  • Additional technical training a plus.
  • Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.

Experience:

  • Experience in valve/actuator assemblies.
  • Experience in hydraulic testing.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus

Desired Skills:

  • Education, as described above, may be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, reading, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Good technical capabilities with regards to fluid power.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Skills or abilities requirement.
