We're now looking for a UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer to join our UK team.
What you’ll do:
As the UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer, you will deliver exceptional service to Eaton’s customers. In this role, you will carry out preventative maintenance on Eaton-manufactured UPS systems and support existing installations to ensure optimal performance. You will play a key role in supporting hyperscale data center operations across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fault diagnosis on UPS systems
- Work confidently with on-line and line-interactive UPS technologies
- Conduct preventative maintenance across an established customer base
- Commission and repair all UPS system types, including standalone and parallel configurations
- Set up and configure remote monitoring software
- Communicate technical information to key stakeholders
- Apply anti-static procedures consistently
- Follow the ECN process for all repairs
Qualifications:
- HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical installation or maintenance
- Solid understanding ofUPS systems
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols:Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP
- Understanding ofPLC programming (power control, generator control, SCADA, process control)
