About this Job
Objective:
This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems within the Distribution Centre to ensure smooth operations, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibility:
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on automated systems including conveyors, sorters, pick/pack stations, ASRS, and PLC-based systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and electrical components as per operational standards.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to resolve automation-related interruptions in workflow.
- Maintain logs of maintenance tasks and interventions in compliance with SOPs.
System & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all automation equipment operates in accordance with HSE and operational safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections and report potential safety hazards or malfunctioning components.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment uptime and warehouse efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and system modifications.
- Generate technical reports and provide feedback on recurrent issues for process improvements.
- Support root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) initiatives.
Desired Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse automation systems or industrial equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, PLC diagnostics, and mechanical drive systems.
- Experience with WMS-integrated automation equipment and HMI interfaces is preferred.
- IT literacy for basic diagnostics, system updates, and maintenance tracking.
