About this Job
You’ll Love This Role If You:
- Gain experience with the design and implementation of System PLC Code, controls networks, and integrated motion controllers.
- Gain working knowledge of AutoCAD-E or EPLAN CAD software.
- Gain experience with one or more of the hardware and software applications for Allen Bradley, SIEMENS or Schneider PLC platforms.
- Use effective communication - internal and externally - with TGW customers.
- Willing to travel to customer sites as project schedule allows and increased per rotation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn TGW and industry technologies and products.
- Understanding of controls hardware/software design and implementation.
- Utilize controls subsystem installation, commissioning test procedures and checklists for controls hardware and software (PLC), HMI’s and SCADA.
- Provide support for subsystem electrical installation, interface testing, training, and startup.
- Support other departments within TGW Systems as needed.
- Effectively plan daily tasks with time critical awareness.
- Prepare project status reports and project summaries as required by supervisor.
- Travel to customer sites as project schedule allows and increased per rotation.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
You must be a junior or senior-level student in Electric or Computer Engineering.
Rotation:
This is a fulltime, Summer 2026 rotation.
Travel:
Travel to customer sites may increase up to 70% as your rotations increase.
Compensation:
$19/hour. The successful intern will be considered for full-time employment upon graduation.
Skills & Abilities
- Basic electrical circuit understanding and basic ability to read e-drawings
- Effective problem-solving methods
- MS Office programs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk around industrial and/or warehouse environment for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
- Visual and auditory abilities to work safely with and around moving and/or motorized equipment, machinery, parts, and electricity that require safety protocols
- Ability to move and use muscles for extended periods of time without fatigue.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Ability to communicate regularly with others verbally and in writing.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.

Other Requirements
This position requires work at TGW customer sites. TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites. Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work.
