About this Job

General Summary

We are looking for an Operational Technology SCADA Specialist to work on our Ignition platforms. You will be responsible for executing the product vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives and coordinating with OT Field Services Teams and Regional Engineering teams to make continuous enhancements to the system. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced SCADA development projects.
  • Integrate OT Software with other line of business applications.
  • Innovate and implement new features and functionalities.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Oversee the development operations of Ignition software.

Job Specifications

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Inductive Automation software and development.
  • Proficient in SQL scripting.
  • Experience working with Ignition 8.1+
  • Experience coding Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Click PLCs.
  • Working knowledge of MQTT technology.
  • Solid understanding of industrial control and equipment maintenance systems such as SCADA, IIoT, and MES as they pertain to Operational Technology.
  • Familiar with API and MQTT concepts, features, and benefits, such as publish-subscribe, broker, topic, QoS, and security.
  • Experience in working on projects that include cross-functional departments within I.T.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Communication – possesses exceptional writing and verbal presentation skills enabling her/him to prepare and present information and recommendations to a broad and diverse audience

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability to learn new computer software applications quickly
  • Logical, process-oriented nature
  • Ability to communicate clearly via video conference, phone and email with customers, vendors and co-workers
  • Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in business processes and systems
  • Must work out of the Grand Rapids, MI corporate office.
  • Travel expectation is up to 10% per year.
