Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and program management firm based in California. We are seeking a Senior Honeywell PLC Specialist to support our Water sector. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of Honeywell PLC code for automation projects. The role requires technical skills in Honeywell PLC programming and an understanding of HMI/SCADA development. Additional responsibilities include interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting systems, creating, and maintaining documentation, and providing customer training on-site. The Senior Honeywell PLC Specialist will contribute to the development of engineering, designs, and construction of the facility control system. They will review and analyze new equipment. interfaces with the client operations, maintenance, and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EPC Contractor in development and deploy Honeywell PLC code for automation projects to implement control strategies.
  • Review, provide input and troubleshoot Honeywell PLC software in ladder, function chart, structured text, or sequential function languages.
  • Read, understand, and review electrical and control schematics.
  • Review designs to debug and resolve software and control systems.
  • Collaborate with other client groups to facilitate a design and systems functional approach for the facilities.
  • Execute witness testing of all phases of the project from internal testing to customer acceptance (FAT, FIT, etc.).
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Assist in on-site commissioning and provide customer training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Verification of creation and maintenance technical documentation, including system designs, test plans, and project updates.
  • Track project progress, manage tasks, and communicate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Honeywell PLC programming experience required
  • Knowledge of common industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet.)
  • Ability to read Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), electrical diagrams and logic diagrams
  • Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt well to engineering standards
  • Aptitude to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Pay Range: $115,000 - $155,000 per year

Work Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in Los Angeles, CA

Travel: Up to 1-2 times per month to field sites in Los Angeles County

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized background check
