Job Responsibilities
- Active Leader for Environment, Health & Safety actions, and policies.
- Mentor E&C Technicians on shift, ability to teach and train personnel.
- Shift Subject Matter Expert for all electrical and automation systems and components.
- Diagnoses and isolates advanced automation equipment system.
- Adapts to new and changing technology.
- Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing equipment optimization projects.
- Utilize data historian system to identify opportunities for optimization and implement system changes to increase system productivity.
- Assist and learn the development and implementation of work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
- Participate in 5S, Lean MFG, and any other continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in “Root Cause Analysis” meetings to determine and rectify problematic issues in the process.
- Be an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.
- At all times follow all company rules, policies, and expectations.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field is preferred
- 3-5 Years minimum Manufacturing.
- Prior Siemens PLC, HMI & VFD experience is a plus.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP).
- Strong safety awareness and experience.
- Seamless Pipe Mill Experience a huge plus.
- Understand automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks.
- Understand data acquisition systems such as IBA.
- Understand the various signals involved in automation that will be required, such as encoders, load cells, 4 to 20ma, 0 to 10 vdc, etc.
- Experience with variable frequency drives and understand the theory of operation of the various subsystems.
- SAP & general computer knowledge preferred.
