Job Responsibilities

  • Active Leader for Environment, Health & Safety actions, and policies.
  • Mentor E&C Technicians on shift, ability to teach and train personnel.
  • Shift Subject Matter Expert for all electrical and automation systems and components.
  • Diagnoses and isolates advanced automation equipment system.
  • Adapts to new and changing technology.
  • Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing equipment optimization projects.
  • Utilize data historian system to identify opportunities for optimization and implement system changes to increase system productivity.
  • Assist and learn the development and implementation of work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
  • Participate in 5S, Lean MFG, and any other continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in “Root Cause Analysis” meetings to determine and rectify problematic issues in the process.
  • Be an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.
  • At all times follow all company rules, policies, and expectations.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field is preferred
  • 3-5 Years minimum Manufacturing.
  • Prior Siemens PLC, HMI & VFD experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP).
  • Strong safety awareness and experience.
  • Seamless Pipe Mill Experience a huge plus.
  • Understand automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks.
  • Understand data acquisition systems such as IBA.
  • Understand the various signals involved in automation that will be required, such as encoders, load cells, 4 to 20ma, 0 to 10 vdc, etc.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives and understand the theory of operation of the various subsystems.
  • SAP & general computer knowledge preferred.
