Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Remote or Lakewood CO - Lakewood, CO 80215Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedSalary Range: $30.00 - $37.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Minimal: 0 - 10%Job Shift: DayJob Category: Drafting & DesignAbout the Position  As an entry level Electrical Designer in the Renewables group, you will be responsible for performing engineering design under the responsible charge of a SCADA Engineer. You will be responsible for supporting client projects and providing a quality deliverable that is on time and within the defined budget.  Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $37.00 / Hour  The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.   Essential Responsibilities  Performs detailed design and prepares drawings for all aspects of SCADA systems to include SCADA one-line diagrams, port connection diagrams, fiber one-lines, system control diagrams, schematics, conduit and cable sizing/routing, panel designs, general arrangement, selection of equipment, and wiring diagrams.   Provides conceptual and high-level designs during bidding stage of projects with limited information or direction  Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including basis of designs, bill of materials, and specifications as required  Checks the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required  Contributes to CAD standard development in a manner that is cognizant of both engineering and design departments  Reduces complexity of projects/tasks within their discipline to get more done with less work  Provides a major role in the QA/QC process and takes initiative and ownership on all project and task quality  Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings  Maintains outstanding company-client relationships  Cross group support to electrical drafting team as needed.  Other responsibilities as assigned  Must Have  Education: Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or related field is preferred  Experience: 0 – 1 years of relevant engineering design, or other relevant experience   Proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred  Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and additional computer software  Maintain high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization  Engaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues  Attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work  Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines  Provide technical assistance and training for junior engineers   A strong written and verbal command of the English language  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis  Working Conditions  Work Environment:  Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be required  Travel:  Typical: 5 – 15%  Physical Activities:  Must be able to lift 25lbs.   About NEI Electric Power Engineering  Serving Others.
