About this Job
As a Robot Operations Technician at Robot.com, you'll play a key role in developing and refining our next-generation robotic systems. You’ll work hands-on with advanced robots, helping them acquire new capabilities, perform complex routines, and improve their real-world performance through daily operation. This role involves capturing essential operational data to enhance our AI models and collaborating closely with the Advanced Robotics Team to optimize robot behaviors over time. This is an onsite position based in San Francisco, CA, requiring in-person collaboration 5 days per week and a commitment of **approximately 40 hours per week.**Key Responsibilities
- Active Monitoring Diagnostics: Operate and monitor the robot throughout the day, quickly recognizing bugs or performance deviations.
- Issue Reporting: Log and escalate technical issues to the engineering team, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
- Teleoperation: Use control systems to remotely guide the robot through programmed routines and training sessions.
- Data Management: Process, label, and upload collected operational data into our AI training systems.
- Safety Maintenance: Maintain a safe work environment and follow standard operating and maintenance procedures, including startup and shutdown sequences.
Requirements
- Ownership Mentality: Proven ability to take responsibility for system performance and ensure consistent operation.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or English.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and safely handle robotic hardware.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve.
- Work Ethic: Focused, dependable, and able to perform in a fast-paced technical environment.

- Enthusiasm for helping scale real-world robotic deployments.
- Strong coordination, focus, and spatial awareness.
- Ability to quickly master new physical or technical tasks.
Compensation The U.S. base rate for this part-time contractor position is $20–$25 per hour. Final pay may vary based on relevant experience, skills, and demonstrated proficiency.
