About this Job
Description
Electrical controls, PLC and HMI programming, industrial safety, and pneumatic and hydraulic solutions. A division of Skarda Equipment Company, a Certified Power Company.
This position is responsible for the assembly and wiring of industrial control panels.
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Hours may vary during training and may become flexible after the training period
Pay Rate: $22-$26/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read wiring diagrams and panel layout drawings
- Assemble control panels per the layout drawings
- Wire control panels according to wiring diagrams
- Drill and cut holes in panels for mounting various components
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of all projects
SKILLS DESIRED:
- 2+ years of similar experience
- High mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with motor controls and Variable Frequency Drives
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar programs
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and outside sales personnel
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals
- Ability to design and build control panels and modify existing controls per customer request
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback

Requirements
Education:
- Degree not required
- Must have some electrical experience and be able to read electrical schematics
Dress Code:
- Regular workdays: Jeans, hoodie, collared shirt
- Client visits: Business casual (collared shirt, khakis)

- THC testing is required — candidates who test positive will be dismissed
