Postdoctoral Appointee - MSD Autonomous Materials Lab

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in materials synthesis using CVD/PVD or van der Waals fabrication and characterization using scanning electron microscopy. Experience in programming, interfacing hardware, and developing machine-learning methods highly desirable. The researcher will join an Argonne funded project with interdisciplinary team of material scientists, computer scientists, roboticists. The project will focus on developing an integrated autonomous lab system for strucutre-property characterization of novel materials heterostructures for quantum and microelectronics applications.

Position Requirements

Ph.D in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or related field. Strong experimental background in materials synthesis (CVD, PVD) or van der Waals materials. Additional expertise in machine-learning methods, programming, robotics is highly desirable.

The expected hiring range for this position is $70,758.00-$117,925.00.
