About The Role

You’llbe assigned to a live project team putting your university learning into practicefrom the get go.Your internship will either have aRobot LearningorSoftwarefocus and contribute to intelligence feature concepts.Depending on your area of expertiseand the project, yourresponsibilitiesmay include:

  • Designing, implementing,testingor extendingfunctional components and tools of our software platform in C++ and Python

  • Researching,evaluatingandpotentiallyintegratingstate of the artRobot Learningmethods

  • EmployingDesign of Experiments to benchmarkmethod or systemperformance

  • Working with physicalrobot platforms and components

  • Collaboratingclosely with teammates and experts in robotics, software,hardwareand machine learning

  • Proactively adoptingbestengineering practices within the Dyson framework

About You

You’reenthusiastic about technology, creative and tenacious in your approach to problem solving.You’reinquisitive by nature,hungry to learn and ready to get stuck in, which will allow youtocontributeto live projects from the start.You’llfurther need:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Python and/or C++

  • Ability to apply your programming skills effectively in real-world projects

  • Ability to work independently on tasks while knowing when to seek clarification, support, or feedback

  • Clear communication oftechnical concepts, both verbally and in documentation

  • Demonstrable experience applying your skills through course, personal or society projects

  • A creative approach to problem-solving, combined with strong attention to detail

  • Prior experience with ROS2,Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch) or physicssimulators(MuJoCo, Isaac Sim)

  • Prior research or engineering experiencewithsemantic understanding, interactive navigation, multi-modal generative models, finetuning foundations modelsor whole-body control of articulated robots is a plus
