Amazon Robotics (AR) is Amazon’s industrial automation and robotics manufacturing arm, producing high-quality robotic systems that power fulfillment and transportation centers across the globe. Our Operations team works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver solutions to our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Lead to support and lead a team in areas such as electro-mechanical assembly, test, material handling, pack, and ship. The Production Lead is a hands-on process leader responsible for coordinating daily production activities, troubleshooting process issues, and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.

Key job responsibilities As a Production Lead within Amazon Robotics' RMTO organization, you will lead and coordinate materials manufacturing activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and on-time delivery of robotics products. This role serves as a critical bridge between manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics teams while managing complex production control responsibilities.

You will be responsible for maintaining material flow through effective WIP management, coordinating with multiple stakeholders including Tighe 3PL, supply chain teams, and internal manufacturing groups. Your role is essential in identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, managing expedites, and ensuring accurate tracking of materials and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process. This role focuses on comprehensive move order management, systematic replenishment processes, and precise inventory control through cycle count oversight.

Key aspects of this role include:

* Leading daily production control operations and coordinating across multiple shifts * Responsible for optimizing WIP tracking systems for complex robotics assemblies, including strategic move order execution and validation * Driving resolution of production issues through cross-functional collaboration * Ensuring data accuracy in Oracle and other production control systems * Coordinating expedited shipments and managing short ship situations * Preparing and delivering daily production status updates to leadership * Implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency * Mentoring team members and promoting best practices in production control * Overseeing systematic replenishment processes across production areas and maintaining minimum/maximum levels * Leading cycle count programs and ensuring inventory accuracy across all production zones

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll need to demonstrate leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions. If you’re passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply! 6+ Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment. - 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role, managing production activities or supporting a team. - Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation, interpret work instructions, and ensure quality adherence. - Experience with tools, equipment, and systems used in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Associates degree or technical certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field. - Experience in Lean manufacturing, 6S, or Kaizen practices. - Experience facilitating training and contributing to the development of new team members. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings and coordinate across multiple teams. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
