The Facilities maintenance manufacturing rep is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining robotic welding systems.

  • This rep will primarily be working on Government Owned (SPR) Robotics equipment.
  • The rep reports directly to the maintenance Area superintendent and must possess the ability to maintain relationships with production, Robotics engineering and vendors.
  • Looking for well-trained technicians experienced with PLC and electrical troubleshooting and the capability to address day-to-day issues
  • Develops and evaluates new technologies or methods (mechanics, hydraulics, algorithms, software, etc.)
  • The ability to work with others and independently in a fast paced environment is crucial
  • Willingness to further one’s knowledge base and skill-setin a growing company with specialized equipment is necessary
  • Having the ability to follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures is a must.

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of robotics machine maintenance experience.
  • Employee may be required to work overtime, stay into a later shift, work a different shift, to return equipment to service or provide training.
  • Must be available to work all shifts
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense.

Preferred:

  • A Degree in General robotics or automation
  • Specific trade licensing e.g. (Electrical)
  • Previous ABB robotics and Fanuc drive experience
  • Previous welding equipment experience
  • Past mechanical/electrical or hydraulic trade school or apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience with reliability and predictive maintenance practices
  • CMMS experience

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key to this role
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Experience with 6 axis industrial and collaborative robots
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Previous experience with PLC’s to include effectively diagnosing analog and digital field components, along with input/output devices as well as PLC programming
  • Experiencing troubleshooting / diagnosing HMI systems
  • Working from ladders and lifts while wearing fall protection.
  • Experience using various types of diagnostic tools and meters to include volt meters, amp meters, resistive measuring devices, meggers, data loggers, micrometers, calipers, test gauges, and temperature measuring devices.
