WAVE is currently looking for Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians to join our team!

Schedule: We have one opening for our night shift. We offer 10 hour shifts (Monday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Friday) or 8 hour shifts (Monday through Friday). Some overtime may be required.

Compensation: WAVE offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefit package that includes, but not limited to; health, dental and life insurances, vacation, quarterly profit sharing, and a 401(k) Plan. Salary is based on an applicant’s knowledge and experience in their field of expertise. Base starting salary is over $73K a year, without overtime, and will be higher for qualified candidates.

This position is responsible for all activities associated with the maintenance of facility operations. This person is responsible for maintaining and operating production equipment to optimize availability, quality and speed inclusive of both mechanical and electrical subsystems.

General Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment in compliance with all plant codes, policies and procedures
  • Safely utilize machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
  • Identify root cause issues and take proper corrective actions without needing assistance.
  • Assist in the debug, repair and installation of equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Use CMMS system to accurately complete work orders.
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
  • Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
  • Able to operate fork trucks, scissor and aerial lifts to perform job assignments (will train).
  • Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed
  • Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
  • Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years or more of mechanical or electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of more experience in PLC programming.
  • Familiar with troubleshooting high speed production equipment and conveyor systems.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control systems.
  • Able to maintain, repair, and rebuild mechanical components.
  • Familiar with replacing bearings, shafts, couplings, motors, gear boxes etc.
  • Be able to fabricate simple brackets and install.
  • Must have basic hand tools and specialized tools will be provided.
  • Experience reading blueprints and understanding machine manuals.
  • Welding skills are a plus, but are not required.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and motors.
  • Experience reading ladder logic, schematics and blueprints.
  • Diagnose, repair, or replace defective parts and wiring.
  • Install multiple interlocking safety devices, conduit, electrical panels and other accessory components.

High School Diploma or equivalent
