POSITION: Maintenance Technician

**SUMMARY:**Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary.
  • Emergency repairs of equipment may alter break and lunch times, however break and lunch times will be given.
  • Thorough preventive maintenance checks will be performed on a routine schedule.
  • Performs repairs including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Comply with ISO guidelines, OSHA Safety and Health regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Maintain Plant buildings and grounds to include but not limited to plumbing, painting, mowing, and other ground maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a self-directed environment efficiently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to learn and keep up with current technologies.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, operate man lifts, and work at various heights
  • Good basic math skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematic reading and understanding.
  • Knowledge of mechanical concepts.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires minimum 2 year degree in Mechanical/Electrical field or in the process of achieving degree or equivalent work experience.
