About this Job

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead FPGA architecture definition, design, and implementation using VHDL/Verilog.
  • Develop and optimize RTL code for high-speed, low-latency applications.
  • Perform synthesis, place & route, timing analysis & timing closure, and resource optimization.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and system engineers.
  • Conduct design reviews, documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Integrate FPGA designs with embedded processors and peripheral interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, etc.).
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans using simulation and hardware test benches.
  • Efficiently use debug tools such as integrated logic analyzers (like ChipScope, Altera Logic Analyzer etc.) for the FPGA to identify timing issues, resolve problems.
  • Interface with the Firmware team to drive FPGA-firmware interface requirement and architecture.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership and innovation.
  • Interface with vendors and customers for technical discussions and support.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in VLSI, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • 12–15 years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and development.

  • Expertise in AMD (Xilinx), Altera, Microchip, or Lattice FPGA platforms.

  • Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and scripting languages (Tcl, Python).

  • Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces (Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES or similar), and embedded systems.

  • Experience with simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, Vivado, Quartus) and version control systems (e.g Gitlab).

  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with HLS (High-Level Synthesis) and FPGA acceleration.

  • Proficiency in System Verilog.

  • knowledge/experience in Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).

  • Work experience on High-speed serial bus technology such as SERDES, PCIe.

  • Knowledge of safety-critical systems and standards (Such as IEC 61508).

  • Experience in implementing FPGA bus interfaces such as AXI,

  • Exposure to SoC design and integration.

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
