About the role

The AI Research Division of Agile Robots is looking for an Intern (m/f/d) Customer & Partner Application Support, who will help external customers and partners apply AI capabilities on their robot arm platform, supporting troubleshooting, documentation, and reference-application testing under guidance from the team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Help respond to questions from customers and partners applying AI capabilities on their robot arm, under guidance from senior team members.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing issues customers and partners report when applying AI components or pipelines on their own hardware, escalating cases that need deeper investigation.
  • Documentation: Document common customer and partner issues and their resolutions to build a reusable reference for support work and other internal teams.
  • Application Testing: Support testing of reference applications and pipelines to confirm they behave as expected before they reach customers and partners.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Learn the team's pipelines and reference applications well enough to explain them to customers and partners in plain, non-technical terms.

Essential Skills

  • Academic Background: Enrolled in a Master's degree programme in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming: Basic proficiency in Python, sufficient to read example code and reproduce a customer's or partner's setup.
  • Communication: Ability to explain a technical issue clearly, in written or spoken English, to someone outside the immediate team.
  • Robotics Familiarity: Basic understanding of how a robot arm is controlled and how its sensors and actuators connect to the software layer.

Beneficial Skills

  • Simulation Exposure: Exposure to physics simulators such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, or Gazebo.
  • ROS Familiarity: Familiarity with ROS or ROS2.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Prior experience in a support, teaching, or other customer- or partner-facing role.
