Job Description
As a Functional Safety Engineer***,*** you will join our team in Coventry to support our activities within the Automotive sector. The programme is to support critical ISO 26262:2018 activities across several domains, including Assisted & Automated Driving, Body Control, and Vehicle Motion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering ISO 26262:2018 work products as outlined in the Functional Safety Plan.
- Maintaining key safety artifacts, including Item Definitions, HARAs, Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Functional Safety Requirements (FSR).
- Leading the development and execution of Integration, Verification & Validation test specifications.
- Owning all planned work products through to the completion of the Item Safety Case.
- Coordinating with suppliers and partners to ensure synchronized delivery and compliance via Development Interface Agreements (DIAs).
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in functional safety engineering within one or more relevant domains
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 26262:2018, particularly Parts 3 and 4 (FSC/FSR, ITS/ITR, SGVP/SGVR)
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience supporting ASIL-level safety analyses (e.g., HARA, FTA, FMEA)
- Exposure to embedded systems or electric powertrain architectures
