Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary internship within ABB’s Automation business. You will support engineering activities by performing assigned tasks and contributing to real project execution. This internship will enable you to develop technical capabilities while enhancing your future career opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is part of the Automation Business Line – Pulp and Paper (AUPI) in Singapore, supporting local operations and customer projects.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Supports engineering teams in the execution of automation projects, ensuring tasks are completed in line with timelines and quality standards
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support ABB’s operations and project delivery
- Assists in understanding customer requirements and contributes to identifying suitable automation solutions
- Participates in team meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews
- Applies basic automation engineering tools and methodologies under guidance
- Seeks feedback from managers and team members to continuously improve performance and technical skills
Your Background
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related engineering discipline
- Interest in industrial automation and process industries
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems
- Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work collaboratively with a proactive and learning mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to automation platforms such as ABB Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Quality Control Systems (QCS)
- Prior internship or academic project experience in automation or engineering environments
- Valid work authorization for Singapore
