About this Job
You will develop production concepts for body-in-white plants for the global automotive industry with a focus on robot technology. Your responsibilities include, for example, the design of the robots used, plant optimization to achieve the specified cycle times and the monitoring of robot programming. As a project manager, you will be responsible for a project volume of between €2 million and €10 million and will act as an interface between our customers, suppliers, internal specialist departments and the overall project management.
Tasks
- Responsibility for the entire project management in the field of robotics
- Technical design of the robots, peripherals and safety technology used
- Evaluation and, if necessary, participation in robot simulation
- Determination of measures to achieve cycle times
- Preparation of supplier inquiries with subsequent evaluation of the offers and selection of possible suppliers
- Coordination of the commissioning phase on the part of the robotics department (at times on site at our customers' plants), including instruction in robot programming
Applicant’s profile
- Completed university studies in the field of electrical engineering / mechatronics / automation technology or advanced training as a technician (m/f/d) or vocational training corresponding to the function
- Willingness to travel and very good knowledge of German or English
Nice to have knowledge that is not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of common simulation programs (e.g. Process Simulate, RobCad, Delmia V5 Robotics)
- Experience in robot operation/commissioning (e.g. KUKA or ABB controllers)
- Experience in welding and process engineering
