TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECH SR 2

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Report to Supervisor in supporting plant operations, repair, fabricate, trouble shoot, PLC programming and trouble shoot to lower downtime and improve machinery efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prefer minimum of 6 years previous experience.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have regular, reliable attendance, and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Consistently demonstrates safe work habits.
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies.
  • Demonstrates good housekeeping by ensuring his / her assigned area is kept clean.
  • Works efficiently with other employees in order to meet plant and Department Goals in Safety, Quality, Production, and Housekeeping.
  • Follows Oral and Written Instructions from Higher Management.
  • Works and cooperates with other Departments within the Plant.
  • Attends schedules Department Safety and Training meetings.
  • Available for overtime, call-ins and rotating schedule.
  • Willingness to learn and upgrade skill level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with other in the workplace.
  • Plan and carry-out tasks to accepted National and Local Standards and Codes
  • Planning and achieve job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to train and lead other personnel effectively.
  • Perform job task without supervision.
  • Ability to properly fill out necessary paper work associated with work orders and historical files.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
  • Inside and outside environments apply.
  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be hard above the noise level.
  • Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.
  • Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat.
  • Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dusts.
  • Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.
  • Air density conditions causing the use of a respirator.
