Job Description

Do you want to help shape the future of autonomy at Caterpillar? As an Autonomy Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team of engineers delivering Dozing Application Onboard Autonomous Systems. This team needs a strong leader who understands autonomous systems as well as people leadership. Additionally, they will help plan, direct and lead engineering staff and activities to ensure projects comply with established policies and objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on achieving organizational goals, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and continuously improve product and process performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
  • Provide consistent leadership to follow Cat Robotics Work Standards in support of high quality and high velocity delivery.
  • Maintain long term vision and ensure team deliverables align.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Prior experience leading or managing engineering (Software/Hardware/Systems) teams.
  • Experience in the Construction or Mining Industry
  • Proven experience in Product Development for Track Type Tractors or Motor Graders preferred
  • Proven experience in Product Development for Autonomous Vehicles preferred
  • Ability to interface with customers to understand business objective and make technical decisions as it relates to project deliverables.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires the candidate towork full-time at the Mossville, IL or Dallas, TX Office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location,job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
