The Opportunity:
Do you have the drive, skills and ability to work with us as part of our team? Join our projects team in Brisbane as an Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor, leading technicians through pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup on complex energy projects. You’ll drive safe, efficient delivery of instrumentation systems, coordinate across disciplines, and provide hands-on leadership in both brownfield and greenfield environments.
Working closely with engineering, operations, and HSE, you’ll mentor teams, manage daily work scopes, and troubleshoot complex issues across PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation system, playing a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes for Kent and our client.
In this role, some of the following duties you will undertake but not limited to:
- Instruct, supervise and provide first line technical direction to technician teams, vendors and specialist subcontractors / third party personnel in the area to deliver Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Dynamic Commissioning Procedures.
- Accountable for maintaining and completion of loop test packs as per commissioning schedule priorities
- Access the system completions database to generate work scope, create reports, checksheet rundown and manage punch items
- Assurance of required permitting, isolations, zero energy states and full compliance with pre-commissioning and commissioning and area safe working practice methods and processes including JSA's / SWMS / Toolbox Talks, Stepbacks etc.
- Oversee and manage the inspection, calibration, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment, including pressure, flow, temperature, and level sensors, control valves, PLCs, and SCADA systems
- Coordinate and manage instrumentation activities during pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup processes
- Ensure that all instrumentation activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
