About this Job

Company Description

The warehouse of the future is equipped with our iFollow autonomous robots instead of forklifts and our Atlas 2D pallet shuttles or eScala tote shuttles that allow for high-density storage (no wasted space!) and scalable solutions.

As part of stow Group and over the span of more than 40 years, we’ve grown into a company with 10 manufacturing facilities, 19 commercial offices, and the know-how of around 2000 employees serving customers in 40 countries.

Job Description

The COMMISSIONING ENGINEER is an integral person in helping our customer’s vision for an automated storage solution from Movu US come to life. The core objective is to commission our storage solutions and integrate them with the customer’s warehouse operations.

Solutions: Fully automated storage solutions including pallet shuttles (atlas), tote shuttles (escala), automated mobile robots (ifollow), as well as our ancillary equipment such as conveyors and lifts.

Customers: The end users are typically large consumer goods or pharmaceutical companies mostly located throughout the United States and Canada.

As our COMMISSIONING ENGINEER, you…

  • are responsible for the setup, configuration, interfacing, and sometimes, the integration of the complete automated warehouse system
  • interface with Warehouse Control Systems and integrate them into the customer’s IT systems
  • are responsible for the complete commissioning process (preparation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, Go Live, reporting and signoff)
  • are responsible for PLC software configuration and live testing
  • work on electrical, mechanical, PLCs configuration, communication protocols, sensors & instrumentation, and safety devices
  • work at a variety of customer sites, including cold storage facilities and at heights (walking in a rack at different levels, but always with the appropriate safety gear/measures)
  • act as a commissioning expert, supporting on-site and remote troubleshooting during commissioning, go-live, and when assisting Service Engineers during aftersales interventions
  • create and deliver comprehensive reports and technical procedures upon project completion
  • identify and solve technical challenges, providing recommendations for system optimization
  • train the integrators, customer’s maintenance and operative staff
  • share technical expertise with team members and participate in continuous training and skill development
  • identify and report commercial Service opportunities at current clients to management
  • You're flexible to shift the business weekdays, for instance from time to time to work from Friday to Tuesday, having Wednesdays and Thursday off. That at least for the next 6 months, afterwards we could discuss if is still necessary or not.
