Elmo is looking for an excellent and motivated Application Engineer & Technical Training Team Leaderto join our team!

This role combines leading the technical training function with hands-on application engineering work. The position involves leading the technical training team while also working as an Application Engineer, supporting key customers in advanced industries and collaborating with internal teams.

  • Act as a key technical point of contact for key customers in industries such as semiconductors, life sciences, photonics, aerospace, and automation.
  • Provide remote and on-site support for system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with sales engineers to define solutions and demonstrate capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Assist in testing and validating new products and features.
  • Provide structured feedback to R&D, QA, software, and firmware teams based on customer interactions and field experience.
  • Provide post sales technical support including problem solving and analysis.
  • Lead and manage the technical training team, including identifying learning needs and defining training priorities.
  • Design and deliver hands-on training programs and seminars for employees, customers, and partners.
  • Develop a variety of training materials, including webinars, presentations, video tutorials, and seminars.
  • Maintain and improve the Learning Management System (LMS) and knowledge database.
  • Contribute technical materials such as white papers, application notes, and presentations.
  • Align training initiatives with business goals and evolving technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Additional training or certifications in motion control, technical instruction, or industrial automation- strong advantage.
  • 3 years of experience in application engineering, motion control, or technical support roles.
  • 3 years of experience in developing and delivering technical training.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, multidisciplinary engineering environment- required.
  • Motion control systems, drives, servo motors, feedback devices, industrial automation protocols (EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus, TCP/IP), PLCs, embedded systems, LMS platforms (e.g., SF LMS), ERP systems, SharePoint.
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience- advantage.
  • Fluent in English with ability to communicate effectively.
  • Hebrew- high level
  • Travelling- up to 20%
