Leprino Foods Company’s history dates back over 70 years, when Jim Leprino first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in the Little Italy neighborhood of Denver. We’ve grown a bit since then. Today, Leprino is the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella and a leading producer of whey protein, lactose, micellar casein and other high-quality dairy ingredients. Still owned by founder Jim Leprino’s family, we are committed to sustainably feeding and nourishing families around the world. We strive to be the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.” We started in a small corner grocery store in the early 1950s, and today we employ over 5,000 employees across the globe.
