Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) is a government-funded Research and Technology Organisation based in Dublin, Ireland. Established in 2014, IMR focuses on enabling the manufacturing sector to adopt advanced technologies. Its mission is to demystify, derisk, and deliver emerging technologies to help industries maintain a competitive edge in a global market. IMR operates as a non-profit organization and collaborates with over 300 partner companies, including SMEs and mid-caps across various sectors such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace. The organization offers a range of services, including industrial research, specialized training, consultancy, and access to advanced manufacturing equipment. IMR's research is structured around four key pillars: digitization, sustainable manufacturing, design for manufacturing, and robotics and automation. Through these efforts, IMR supports the Irish manufacturing industry in navigating the challenges of innovation and technology adoption.
