IONNA is a joint venture formed by eight major automakers: BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Stellantis, and Toyota. The company is dedicated to creating a nationwide electric vehicle (EV) charging network in North America, branded as "Rechargeries." With a goal of establishing over 30,000 ultra-fast charging points by 2030, IONNA launched operations in 2024, starting with its first Rechargery in Apex, North Carolina. Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, IONNA focuses on providing fast and reliable charging solutions integrated with retail amenities and exceptional customer service. The Rechargeries feature high-speed DC fast chargers capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously and support various plug types for broad compatibility. IONNA also offers seamless automatic charging options and a range of payment methods. The company plans to expand significantly, with multiple new Rechargeries set to open across the U.S. in 2025, enhancing the EV charging experience for drivers.
