Job Summary
The Validation Engineering Intern assists other validation team members in performing extensive bench testing and data collection to ensure that our integrated circuits meet the performance and functionality targets. Validation engineering interns also work closely with design engineers to assist in performing experiments and in-depth investigations for future designs.
It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Automate lab data collection and data analysis using python programming language
- Work on schematic design of high-speed signal PCB
- Debug and analyze failures in devices returned by customers
- Develop and document bench testing platforms for device validation and characterization
- Conduct work for timing products including but not limited to synthesizers, buffers, analog and digital PLLs
- Elaborate validation plans and execute validation tasks
- Analyze bench data and prepare reports summarizing device performance
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program
- Field of Study: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience in the following areas is a plus:
Serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS232, UART, USB, CAN)
Design tools for schematic and layout of mixed-signal PCB, preferably Allegro
PCB signal integrity simulation tools, preferably Hyperlynx and Ansys
PLLs and timing devices including synthesizers and buffers
One year experience of regular use of python language
Knowledge of lab automation using LabVIEW and/or python
Prior industry experience is a plus
- English proficiency is required, including the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and perform job responsibilities in a professional business environment.
