Job Description: The ideal candidate will support SimIS’ unmanned systems portfolio development through technical documentation, solution design, and capability analysis. This role combines technical expertise in unmanned systems with program management support, requiring proficiency in 3D printing/FDM software, requirements development, and risk assessment to ensure timely delivery of unmanned systems solutions.

The candidate performs the following specific assignments:

  • Prepares technical documentation and designs solutions using 3D printing FDM software for unmanned systems development
  • Develops capability requirements and identifies gaps, risks, and solutions for unmanned systems portfolios
  • Conducts research and analysis to support unmanned capabilities development and program planning
  • Drafts capability documents including CDDs, COEs, requirements memorandums, technical papers, and meeting minutes
  • Supports development of capability roadmaps and DOTMLPF-P assessments for unmanned capabilities
  • Advises Program Manager on safe and legal execution of corporate funds within commodity areas
  • Assists with Tracking and balances cost, schedule, and performance metrics within assigned commodity areas
  • Identifies programmatic risks and executes appropriate risk mitigation measures
  • Engages with industry partners to understand current and future unmanned systems technologies
  • Coordinates Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across test/evaluation, engineering, logistics, and finance disciplines
  • Facilitates technical activities to meet long- and short-range project goals within resource constraints
  • Reviews in-process testing results and plans future test requirements for hardware/software quality assurance
  • Conducts critical technical analyses of unmanned systems, subsystems, and components against operational requirements
  • Creates and modifies presentation documentation using Microsoft Office and other information systems

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field education may be substituted for experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in unmanned systems, technical program support, or related field
  • Experience with 3D printing and FDM software applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation

Experience Desired:

  • Experience with JCIDS processes and documentation
  • Knowledge of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes
  • Experience with requirements generation and capability gap analysis
  • Understanding of DOTMLPF-P framework and acquisition lifecycle management
  • Experience in data management and knowledge management practices
  • Background in unmanned systems design, testing, or operations
  • Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary technical teams

  • Proficiency with CAD software and 3D printing technologies
