This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor, which is in accordance with the Academic Faculty Agreement, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Location - This role is in-person at North Campus, Edmonton.

The Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, starting as early as July 1st, 2026, in the area of Robotics, 3D Computer Vision and Computer Graphics; and with strong fundamentals in mathematical and geometric modeling. We value interdisciplinary research topics that span across areas, focus on real-world physical robotics and embodied computing. UofA has significant strength in ML/AI and collaborations between CS and Engineering on robotics and vision.
