About the Role

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process according with quality, safety and environmental systems and customer specific requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Participate and provides support related with environmental, Health and Safety objectives, targets and programs including but not limited to ISO14001, ISO4500.
  • Has the authority to stop a process or activity or give coaching if it detects unsafe or acts conditions, that could put at risk the integrity and health of a worker and environment.
  • Recommend improvements or upgrades for equipment reliability.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance follow safety regulations and company standards

What You Need to Be Successful

  • High school diploma or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience repairing CNC routers, preferably in woodworking.

  • Mechanical, electrical, electronic or software background with a working knowledge of the other disciplines
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment,
  • Commercial understanding of the impact of failure/downtime on production and ultimately customer delivery
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognized QC (Quality Control) tools
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including ISO14001 and responsibilities
  • Training in TPM Tools.
  • Knowledge of automation and control methods.
  • Computer knowledge (Auto cad, Office: Word, Excel.)
  • Basic English (Technical reading).
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with operators and engineers to understand equipment issues.
  • Replace or repair faulty components (e.g., wiring, bearings, servo motors, limit switches).
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of CNC equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to spindles, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on CNC routers.
  • Knowledge of G-code and CNC control systems (e.g., FANUC, SIEMENS, HAAS etc.).
  • Knowledge on Wood CNC Routers.
  • Experience with vacuum table systems, dust collection, and tool changers.
