System (Industrial) Engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000/year
Our client is a leading manufacturer of additive machines specializing in metal 3D printing. They are seeking a System (Industrial) Engineer to join their growing team. This position has a key role in driving operational efficiency and process improvement across our manufacturing facility. This role supports the design, implementation, and optimization of systems and workflows on the manufacturing floor, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in manufacturing or logistics environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve operational processes to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize resources utilization.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for production and logistics issues.
Support the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions.
Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and training materials.
Utilize data analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Participate in new equipment installations, layout planning, and capacity modeling. Connect and reconnect equipment
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in an industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
5+ years of Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
Understand coding
Proficiency in process mapping, time studies, and data analysis.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Strong communication, documentation and project coordination skills.
