System (Industrial) Engineer    Location: Indianapolis, IN 

Compensation:  $120,000 – $140,000/year 

Our client is a leading manufacturer of additive machines specializing in metal 3D printing. They are seeking a System (Industrial) Engineer to join their growing team. This position has a key role in driving operational efficiency and process improvement across our manufacturing facility. This role supports the design, implementation, and optimization of systems and workflows on the manufacturing floor, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in manufacturing or logistics environments.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyze and improve operational processes to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize resources utilization. 

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for production and logistics issues. 

  • Support the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions. 

  • Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and training materials. 

  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities. 

  • Participate in new equipment installations, layout planning, and capacity modeling.  Connect and reconnect equipment 

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

 

Required Education & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in an industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environment. 

  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience 

  • Understand coding 

  • Proficiency in process mapping, time studies, and data analysis. 

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. 

  • Strong communication, documentation and project coordination skills.
