The Olefins & Polymers USA division of INEOS USA LLC (O&P) ranks among North America's largest producers of olefins and polyolefins. Within this division, the Pipeline Supply Organization (PSO) manages the Stratton Ridge (SR) salt dome storage facility, the Hobbs Fractionation Complex (HFC), and over 500 miles of pipelines in the South Texas area. The Hobbs Fractionation Complex is responsible for separating Y-Grade NGLs and producing C2s, C3s, and C4+, playing a crucial role in the CBW supply portfolio. The Stratton Ridge salt dome storage facility stores various feedstocks and products, seamlessly integrating with the pipeline systems for efficient transport and distribution.

How the Role Fits In:

The INEOS Chocolate Bayou Site has a position open for a SCADA / Process Control Supervisor. The primary purpose of the SCADA / Process Control Supervisor is to provide general oversight of field automation, SCADA and control systems, and telecommunications equipment in the INEOS O&P Petrochemicals pipelines systems.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

Accountability 1: Safety Health Environmental (SHE)

  • Develop and deploy pipeline leak monitoring software and support calibration and testing
  • Provide technical support for PHA / risk studies for PSO
  • Provide support for site leak detection system (LEL meters)

Accountability 2: Process Control Management

  • Manage on-site configuration and development of Process Control Network
  • Maintain graphics, programming and design changes to Honeywell control system
  • Support design and configuration of process and ambient LEL meters.
  • Provide key data for monthly reporting related to alarm management, inventories and operating envelope deviations

Accountability 3: Manage Pipeline Communication Network

  • Develop and implement satellite and radio based communication options for remote metering sites
  • Ensure communication between field and base station
  • Support base station roll-over capability in the event of incident at primary location.

Accountability 4: Supervise Analyzer technicians

  • Support pipeline and Stratton Ridge with analyzer support and design
  • Provide training and guidance to 2 analyzer technicians

Skills & Knowledge Required

Level of Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma, technical school completion, or equivalent experience. Engineering degree is a plus.

  • Programming experience of PLC's, Omni flow computers, Honeywell Experion/TDC3000 SCADA/DCS system, Arcom communications equipment. Pipeline experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of programming PLC's, Omni flow computers, Honeywell Experion/TDC3000 SCADA/DCS system, Arcom communications equipment
  • General knowledge of VSAT's and networking.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills - verbal and written
  • Self starter, organized and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage change and multiple priorities
  • Proven track record in problem solving and decision making.
