Summer Trainee, Simulation Software

As a Simulation Software Trainee, you will help develop tools, models, and virtual environments that support autonomy development, system testing, and verification of underground mobile machinery. You will contribute to building a scalable simulation ecosystem that feeds our development teams with realistic scenarios and sensor models.

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

• Develop and test simulation tools and scripts (Python recommended)

• Support creation and refinement of virtual environments and scenarios

• Work with sensor models (camera, LiDAR, radar) and synthetic data generation

• Implement small simulation features or components in our toolchain

• Analyzesimulation outputs and generate reports for engineers

• Collaborate withperception, control, and product development teams

To shine in this position, we hope you have: 

• Ongoing studies in software engineering, robotics, automation, computer science, or similar

• Basic programming skills (Python mandatory; C++/Unity/Unreal is a plus)

• Interest in simulation, virtual testing, and model‑based development

• Understanding of how sensors are used in mobile machines

• Curiosity, analytical thinking, and eagerness to learn

• Good communicationskills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

• Capability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
