If youre driven by passion to work in a collaborative environment and solve problems in the manufacturing space, you can thrive with our Packaging Automation team.  We seek students to participate in our internship/co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects.

Our Packaging Automation team leads all aspects of the electrical design, PLC and HMI program development associated with instrumentation, motorcontrolsand equipment interfaces. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with our clients at their manufacturing facilities. The projects vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging controls and automation for manufacturing equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bid packages

  • Bid evaluations

  • Drawing packages

  • Specifications

  • Prepare andmaintaindatabases

  • Assistin project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting

  • Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit

  • Develop flow sheets,packageand speed matrices

  • Work on complex, automated packaging machinery

Education/Experience: 

  • Engineering Co-Op and degree-seeking college student - preferably in Electrical Engineering (Automation-Focus)

  • Experience in an engineering support position preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical or similar engineering (Mechatronics)

  • Excellent computer skills, including 2D and 3D CAD

  • Understanding of PLCs and HMIs isvery helpful

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to adjust to changing timelines while meeting deadlines

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal team skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this positionis required tohave ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm,handand finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard,operateequipment and read application/form information. The associatefrequentlyis required tosit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
