Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robot Programmer to develop, test, debug, and optimize robotic automation systems in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving efficiency, accuracy, and safety through robot programming, simulation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The position includes on-site support during system startup and production ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, modify, and optimize robot programs to improve cycle times, process stability, and product quality.
Configure user frames, tool frames, payload data, and I/O signals.
Perform offline simulation to validate robot paths, reach, and cycle times prior to physical implementation.
Support virtual commissioning and system verification activities.
Perform on-site system startup, debugging, and troubleshooting of robotic cells and peripheral equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to robot motion, tooling, and process performance.
Interface robotic systems with PLCs using standard industrial communication protocols.
Support integration with welding equipment, grippers, and other automation components.
Implement, test, and validate robot safety functions and control systems.
Ensure systems comply with applicable safety and operational standards.
Maintain robot backups, version control, and technical documentation.
Support continuous improvement efforts and production teams as needed.
Qualifications
2–5+ years of hands-on experience programming and supporting industrial robots in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in robot teach pendant programming.
Experience with robot vision systems.
Experience with offline simulation and virtual commissioning tools.
Working knowledge of robot-to-PLC integration and industrial networks.
Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work on a manufacturing floor environment.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks as required.
