Specialist, Gas Distribution (GD) SCADA

Eram Talent is in search of a Specialist for Gas Distribution (GD) SCADA to join a prominent energy organization in Saudi Arabia. This role is vital for ensuring efficient management and monitoring of gas distribution networks through advanced SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.

As a Gas Distribution SCADA Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems that ensure the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of the gas distribution process. Your expertise will play a crucial role in providing real-time data and support to optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain SCADA applications dedicated to Gas Distribution operations.

• Monitor and analyze real-time data to support operational decision-making and troubleshooting.

• Troubleshoot SCADA-related issues and provide timely solutions to ensure system reliability.

• Ensure proper integration of field devices and communication equipment with the SCADA system.

• Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades to SCADA systems to enhance system performance.

• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to define system requirements and improvements.

• Train and mentor junior team members on SCADA operations and best practices.

• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, protocols, and operational procedures.

• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends relevant to SCADA systems in gas distribution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably in Instrumentation, Control, or Computer Engineering) or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in SCADA systems specifically related to gas distribution.

• Enough working experience in SCADA systems of Gas Distribution Network including RTUs in metering skids and related communication systems.

• Enough working experience in Wonderware SCADA system and Emerson RTUs of Metering Skids.

• MCSA or CompTIA Server+

• CCNA, JNCIA, HCIP or CompTIA Network+

• Good understanding of communication protocols and interfaces such as Modbus, RS232/485 etc.

• Enough working experience in SAP - Plant Maintenance module

• Certifications in SCADA technology or project management are a plus.

• Professional Certification PMP or CMRP
