Mission

Serve as deputy to the CTO and own the vehicle and systems architecture authority across the whole portfolio — manned and unmanned — driving product definition across the full V-cycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own vehicle and systems architecture for both the vehicle family and the software-integrated platforms.
  • Drive product definition and requirements across the full V-cycle, from concept to certification.
  • Own the certification and validation strategy at architecture level with the safety, cyber, EMC and certification leads.
  • Lead innovation and trade studies at vehicle and system level, keeping options physics-grounded.
  • Maintain cross-tier and cross-programme architecture coherence; co-own the interface freeze with the CTO.
  • Apply export-control / sovereignty discipline to every architectural and component decision.
  • Act as the hands-on technical anchor from board-level intent to engineering bench detail.
  • Sponsor and technically guide the vehicle-engineering leads on architecture matters.
  • Represent vehicle and systems architecture to the procurement authority, partners and certification bodies.
  • Deputize for the CTO in governance, trade-off arbitration and readiness sign-offs when delegated.

Skills & Competencies

  • 20+ years in military ground-vehicle engineering with depth in vehicle architecture, systems architecture and product definition.
  • Proven end-to-end V-cycle experience — requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, certification.
  • Strong certification & validation track record on defence ground vehicles.
  • Export-control / sovereignty fluency.
  • Hands-on, high-energy, innovation-oriented; effective across the full communication pyramid (board to bench).
